The 22nd April was a tremendous day for The Sands Veterinary Practice as we welcomed our Mobile CT scanner for the first time. Fortunately we have a large car park so the lorry was able to set itself up very nicely outside the practice.
Our CT scanner will be here once a month, for now , allowing us to diagnose a large range of medical problems with your beloved pets. The CT scanner was with us for a full morning and during that time we scanned 7 patients, 4 dogs and 3 cats.
CT scans can produce detailed images of many structures inside the body, including the internal organs, blood vessels and bones and can diagnose conditions such as orthopaedic and soft tissue issue, injuries to internal organs, problems with blood flow, strokes and cancer. The CT scans can provide a highly effective aid for our vets identify issues that might otherwise go undetected as well as providing valuable information to help in any treatment plans.
Not only are we offering this service to OUR registered patients we are also offering an outpatient referral service for other vets practices in Cheshire where the a scan can be completed here, and your own vet can be sent the report directly.
No one wants to think about their pets being poorly. As a new independent vets practice we are dedicated to delivering the best possible care we can for our clients and their pets and being able to offer this fabulous technology is one of the main reasons we set up The Sands Veterinary Practice up where we did on a large site just to the east of Chester.
Well done to the team for delivering a very successful first run. We are already planning and booking in for next round of CT Scanning.
If you would like to hear more about the service, either as a registered client of The Sands or if you are registered elsewhere then please get in touch or pop in and see us.
